Governor's Edition State Hunting Permit stamps are sold at an additional cost above the license fee. The proceeds give an extra boost to the funds for waterfowl habitats. The stamps are labeled as Governor's Edition and have unique serial numbers.
New Jersey Waterfowl Stamp Program
New Jersey began its Waterfowl Stamp Program in 1984. Similar to Federal Duck Stamps, proceeds from these stamps are used to help waterfowl and their habitat. Residents pay a lower fee than non-residents.
From 1984 to 2008, wildlife artists provided the artwork for the stamps. The image for the 1989 stamp was created by Daniel Smith.
