Own Limited-Edition Endeavour STS-100 Cover with Official Medal

Produced by Colorano, this cover honors the launch of STS-100 (the 104th mission of the Space Shuttle program), aboard Endeavour.  It features a photo of the launch and official commemorative medal.

Popular Colorano covers feature “silk” cachets that are produced through a special screening process and then bonded to the envelope.  Each cachet pictures a photo from the mission and is surrounded by a golden border.  The covers bear patriotic US stamps and cancellations relating to events from the mission.

The medal features the mission patch.  The center shows the space shuttle and the International Space Station.  The last names of the crew are around the outside of the patch.

Launched on April 19, 2001, STS-100 lasted eleven days, returning May 1.  The crew included four Americans joined by mission specialists from Canada, Italy, and Russia.  The main objective of the mission was to install and activate a robotic service arm, Canadarm2, on the International Space Station.  During the mission, the first spacewalk by a Canadian was completed.
