Own Limited-Edition Atlantis STS-110 Silk Cover with Official Medal

Produced by Colorano, this cover honors the launch of the Space Shuttle Atlantis’ 25th mission, STS-110.  It includes an official medal bearing an image of the mission patch.

These popular Colorano covers feature “silk” cachets that are produced through a special screening process and then bonded to the envelope.  Each cachet pictures a photo from the mission and is surrounded by a golden border.  The covers bear patriotic US stamps and cancellations marking the launch and return of the mission.

Launched on April 8, 2002, the main mission of STS-110 was to install the S0 Truss, the backbone of the International Space Station’s structure.  The Atlantis landed safely on April 19, after traveling about 4.5 million miles.  This mission was also notable as it marked Jerry Ross’ seventh mission to space, a record at the time.
