Produced by Colorano, this cover honors the launch of the 13th mission of the Space Shuttle Endeavour, STS-88 (the 93rd mission of the Space Shuttle program).  The cachet pictures the shuttle launch, and the postmark honors the launch date of the mission.

Launched on December 4, 1998, STS-88 lasted seven days, returning December 15.  It was the first Space Shuttle mission to the International Space Station.  Aboard the shuttle was the Unity node, a component of the International Space Station.  During the mission, astronauts participated in three spacewalks to connect cables from the node to the space station.
