This stamp, from a block of four, was a joint issue between the U.S Postal Service and the Soviet Union’s Ministry of Posts.  The issue focused worldwide attention on marine mammals inhabiting the earth’s oceans.  The historic issue is a shining example of the U.S. and the Soviet Union working together for the world’s common good.
